For most visitors to the BWCAW, the joy of self-reliance is an important
part of coming here. But for the right group, a guided canoe
trip has advantages. Dave Freeman,
well known wilderness adventurer and Sawbill's head guide,
has a keen understanding of the plants, animals, and history
of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
Overnight Trips: Sawbill Canoe Outfitters offers personalized, guided overnight trips as a stand-alone service or as part of a complete or partial outfitting package--whatever works for you.
Day Trips: Have one day to see
the BWCA Wilderness? Let our guides show you the amazing array
of plant and animal life, fishing spots and other natural
wonders.
Prices:
Personalized guided overnight trips: $160/day/group. Outfitting not included.
Day Trip Pricing:
5-8 people
.$39/person
4 people........$49/person
3 people........$59/person
2 people........$75/person
1 person........$140
Day trips include canoes, paddles, and life vests. An optional packed lunch is $6/person
extra. Day trips generally last between 3 and 6 hours. If
you would like to stay out for longer than 6 hours there is
an additional charge of $15 per person.
Kid's Rates:
Children 7 and under are free, but do not count
towards your total number of people when figuring pricing.
