8/16/12 – Why did the mushroom go to the party? Because he was a fungi. Why did he leave the party? Because there wasn’t mushroom!
It must be evident that I have mushrooms on the brain. Over the past week or so various mushrooms have been sprouting up everywhere, and our field guides have been getting quite a bit of use. Here are a few pictures of some that I noticed just walking around the store. -Jessica

This White Pine Bolete, or Slippery Jack, is proudly displayed in front of our paddle rack. It is about an inch and a half in height. So if you are visiting in the next few days be careful not to knock this little guy over.

This behemoth stands a good five to six inches in height and is located behind the shower house.

This little mushroom I found hiding beneath a garden cart behind the store. It stands about an inch and a half in height.
