Terms and Conditions

1. YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH OUR INSTRUCTIONS AND PROMISE THAT EVERYONE WILL USE A U. S. COAST GUARD APPROVED PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH MINNESOTA STATE LAW. CHILDREN UNDER 10 MUST WEAR PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE AT ALL TIMES.

You agree that you are satisfied with the instructions given by Sawbill in the proper and safe manner of using the item(s) or that you are so familiar and told Sawbill that you were. You further agree that the item(s) will be used only for the purpose for which the item(s) was manufactured and intended. You further agree that each member of your party will use a Coast Guard Approved Personal Flotation Device in accordance with Minnesota State Laws.2. YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS AND WILL NOT BLAME US FOR DAMAGE, INJURY OR DEATH.

You are responsible for the use of the rented item(s). You assume all risks inherent in the operation and the use of the item(s) and agree to assume the entire responsibility for the defense of, and to pay, indemnify and hold Sawbill harmless from, and hereby release Sawbill from, any and all claims of damage to property or bodily injury (including death) resulting from the use, operation or possession of the item(s), whether or not it be claimed or found that such damage or injury resulted in whole or in part from Sawbill’s negligence, or from any cause. You agree that no warranties, expressed or implied, have been made in connection with this rental.3. YOU AGREE TO PAY FOR LOST OR DAMAGED EQUIPMENT, EXCEPT FOR NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR.

From the time the item(s) is rented out until it is returned, you are responsible for it. If the item(s) is lost, stolen or damaged under any circumstances while rented, regardless of fault, you shall be responsible for all charges, including labor costs and loss of resale value, to replace or repair the item(s).4. YOU AGREE TO PAY RENTAL CHARGES ON DEMAND.

You are responsible for the rental charges from the time the item(s) is “rented out” as specified on the front, until it is returned and other charges hereunder. You and your representative, agent or principal, shall be responsible for and shall pay Sawbill for all charges hereunder. All charges are due upon return of the item(s) and on demand. You agree to pay all costs incurred in collecting any charges under this agreement or in enforcing the terms of this contract.

Refund Policy

Outfitting Deposits: Deposits for outfitting are fully refundable if reservation is cancelled 5 days in advance of the trip start date.

Used Canoe Sales: Canoes purchased online are eligible for a 100% refund if you are not satisfied with the condition of the canoe when you come to pick it up. Once the canoe has been picked up, the sale is final.
