Joe Seliga was a master wood-canvas canoe builder in Ely, MN. His elegant and practical design is perfect for traveling canoe country wilderness. Reincarnated by Northstar Canoes, this classic tripping canoe can now be enjoyed in ultra light kevlar. Weighing in at a scant 40 pounds, the Seliga is a pleasure on the water and the portage trail.
There is some superficial cracking in the kevlar layer above the foam core in the interior that has been treated with resin. This is primarily an aesthetic issue and doesn’t affect the performance of the canoe at all. It also has refurbished skid plates and a fresh bottom coat of resin…and lot’s of paddling life left.
